Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18th, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent in sports as she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting potential at the moment. Only 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then attended college at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the 200 meter race. The title was upheld for the second time in 2007 winning over her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
