Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then attended at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three across her diverse races at the Olympics held in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
