Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on the 2nd of December, 1981. She was raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). As a youngster, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro at gymnastics, winning many events and such. Britney was a superb dancer and singer. Britney applied for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of eight. She was turned down due to her young age. This led her to an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", for two years as the main character. She tried again in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time playing a mouseketeer. Her big break, however, came after she was signed Jive Recording Artists in the late 90s. Following the release of her debut album"Baby One More Time" "...Baby One More Time" in the early part of 1999, Britney became a global hit having sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again" and was released in the month of May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols like Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was always singing no matter the other events going on in the world around her. After taking extensive vocal and dance lessons, as well as appearing in various shows and fairs, Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) TV show between 1989 and 1994 when she was just 8years old, however, she was too young to play the part. Britney and her infant sister Britney, moved to New York, where she performed in a number of TV commercials and in an off Broadway production titled "Ruthless" under the guidance by Natalie Portman. Britney discovered her passion for dancing and music two years later, when she was auditioning again for "Mickey Mouse" and won the part with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
