Beyonce Giselle Knowles was conceived in
Houston, Texas on September 4 1981. Tina Knowles-Lawson, her mother, designs
their sparkling costumes. Mathew Knowles is Destiny's Child's managing
director. Solange her older sister (4 years separated), is releasing her first
album. She dances along with her sister at DC-3 shows. Beyonce is Louisiana

Breton, Spanish, Indonesian, and Chinese heritage on her mother's side as well.
It has been reported that she started performing on stage under the name
"Sasha" in order to conquer her shyness.
