Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born on March 23 on the 23rd of March, 1976. She is well-known for her performances in Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her starring role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her recognition. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. In addition, she acted as Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan starred as Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah and the show was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was born in the small town (then there was a population of around 750) of Winthrop, Iowa, the daughter of Sharon Hammel, and Robert Monaghan who was a factory worker. Monaghan has two brothers older than her, Bob and John. Monaghan is a Catholic of Irish and German heritage and graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago and began to model. She has also modelled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore and the United States. She quit New York for an acting career after she completed her journalism degree in 1999. Prior to becoming an actor, she was a model and appeared in many magazines and catalogs. Her first TV credits, as a supporting role, were on the show of Young Americans in 2000. In "Consent" Monaghan was the character of Caroline Busse. She also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims unit in that episode. On the 19th of January 2001, she was a part of the cast in "Consent". In the same year, her major-screen debut was with Perfume in the role of Henrietta. Her next film, again playing a role of support, was in 2002 in Unfaithful, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
